Fort Ticonderoga - 250th Anniversary of the Battle of Carillon

Sutlers
Participation in Fort Ticonderoga events is by invitation only. You must be approved for authenticity before we can add you to our invitation list. (You only have to go through this process once.) We’ll keep you on the invitation list as long as you are cooperative and comply with the guidelines, or until you ask to be removed. The sutler guidelines can be found toward the end of the Guidelines for Reenactors. Please review them before attending the event and check this website for updates.

Sutler Row

Sutler Row will not be located where it usually is. It will be centrally located, on flat ground, along the road leading from the site’s back gate to the main parking lot, about mid-way between the British and French camps, and right beside one of the battle viewing areas.

During the event, this section of road will be “pedestrian only,” except for emergency vehicles. This will keep the dust down and create a safer environment for visitors and reenactors. There will be fifty sutler spaces on Sutler Row, arranged in a double, inward-facing row. Site maps and clear signage will direct visitors and reenactors to the area. (Actually, they won’t be able to miss it. It will be at the center of the event!)

Sutler Registration

Sutler invitations will go out by email in Autumn 2007. Invitations will also go out by US Mail to sutlers who do not have access to email. Please note, however, that we cannot accept registrations until 2008. To register, call the event coordinator on the first business day after New Year’s Day. Have your credit card ready when you call. You will need to know the total square footage that your tents, ropes and stakes occupy. Sutler spaces will be rented on a first-come-first-served basis. When we’ve filled the fifty spaces, that’s it. Sutler fees are listed at right..
